Formerly a specialist in the management of commercial real estate in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay area for over 35 years, Nancy considers herself a street painter or as the French say “en pleine aire”, capturing day to day moments in watercolor.
She approaches her painting process by finding big shapes, identifying darks and lights then using contour drawing to capture the scene. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout California, as well as Washington, Louisiana, Massachusetts and France.
All proceeds for paintings are donated to local charities.
Nancy has studied under:
Peggy Kroll Roberts of Angels Camp, CA www.krollroberts.com known for her figures and values sensibility;
Charles Reid of Connecticut www.charlesreidart.com known for his light, color and transparency in portraits, landscape and still life; and
Nancy Collins of Mendocino, CA www.nancycollinsart.com knows for her color sense in paintings.
When not painting, she is an avid private pilot, scuba diver in remote Asian/Pacific waters or can be found swimming the open waters of the Sea of Cortez.
